dc.description.abstract This study is aimed to identify the types of address forms, to explain the functions of address forms, and to describe how is the application in teaching listening in the tenth grade of senior high school. This study uses qualitative method. The researcher finds 346 data; the types of address forms: title (T) 22 data , first name (FN) 143 data, last name (LN) 5 data, nickname/pet name (N/PN) 106 data, title last name (TLN) 26 data, and kinship terms (KT) 44 data. Then, functions of address forms; least intimate (LI) 22 data, considerable intimacy (CI) 83 data, intimacy (I) 23 data, equality and familiarity (E&F) 7 data, superiority (S) 5 data, greater intimacy (GI) 75 data, rebuke (R) 31 data, inequality (IE) 51 data, inequality and unfamiliarity (IE&UF)5 data, and family relationship (FR) 44 data. Third, the application of address forms found in The Blind Side is appropriate to be use in teaching listening. After analyzing the data, the researcher suggests to use The Blind Side film for teaching listening in the tenth grade of senior high school. en_US
