dc.description.abstract The objectives of this research are (1) to know how is the students’ Arabic pronunciation and English pronunciation ability of eleventh grade of MAN 1 Kebumen in the academic 2016/2017. (2) To know .how is students’ ability on pronunciation vowel and diphthong of the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Kebumen in thein the Academic Year 2016/2017. (3) To find out whether students’ Arabic pronunciation ability on pronunciation vowel and diphthong of the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Kebumen in the In the Academic Year 2016/2017 or not. The population in this research is the students of eleventh grande of MAN 1 Kebumen in the academic year 2016/2017.The researcher took one class as the sample. It is consists of 30 students. The instrument which used by the researcher to get the data are test and documentation. To analyze the data the researcher uses product moment correlation. The result of the mean score of the students’ Arabic pronunciation ability is 82.00 and it was belong to very good. While the mean score of students English pronunciation ability is 70.47 and it was belong to good. The result of r product moment (rxy) value is 2.67. Then, the researcher consults the critical value of rxy table using 5% alpha level significance and the number of N is 0.361. Based on the product moment analysis, this research shows that rxyis higher than r table (2,67> 0,36). It can be concluded that there is correlation between English pronunciation and Arabic pronunciation. en_US
