Abstract:
The curriculum is learning devices in the educational program established
by the government to support the process of teaching the lessons will be given to
participants during a period and in the 2013 curriculum the teachers have some
problem in teaching speaking. The objective to the study are to describe what are
problem faced by English teacher teaching, speaking; to find out problem
frequently encountered English teacher teaching, speaking; to solve the possible
solution problem faced by English teacher teaching, speaking skill on tenth grade
SMK Cipta Karya Prembun in 2013 curriculum.
The activity was conducted at SMK Cipta Karya Prembun especially
teachers at tenth grade of SMK Cipta Karya Prembun, the researcher used three
method in this study including questioner and interview. The data used descriptive
qualitatie method.
From the resut of the study, the researcher has found the dominant
problem from the English teacher that there are four problem, inhibition, nothing
to say, low or uneven participation, mother tongue use. The dominant problem
from the teacher is inhibition the student to speak using English language. The
method used by English teacher is discussion, easy to hard method, and aprroach
to the students. The researcher suggest to the teacher that teacher have to try the
other method in teaching speaking to change students pasive to be active students.
