dc.description.abstract Language is source and power in human’s life without language human get problem in their life. The illocutionary acts is the performed via the communicative force of an utterance. The purpose of the study to identify the types of illocutionary acts found in the main character of Cinderella film and to describe the application of illocutionary act found in the main character of Cinderella film. The research design of the study is qualitative research. The data form is English Illocutionary acts found in the main character of Cinderella film. It was collected by finding the film, watching the film, downloading the script, reading the script, then collecting illocutionary acts utterances of the main character in film. After the data collected, the researcher analyzed the data based on its types. From the research, the researcher found 5 types of illocutionary acts in the main character of Cinderella film are as follows: assertives with 27.87%, directives with 24.77%, commisives with 5.30%, expressives with 41.15%, and declaratives with 0.88%. From the data, the researcher concluded that expressives serves the most dominant type of illocutionary found in the main character of Cinderella film. Expressives is the most dominant type because Cinderella as the main character often expresses something to the hearer. The application of illocutionary acts by the main character of Cinderella film in teaching learning is to teach speaking of complimenting material in the tenth grade of Senior High School. The teacher can use Cinderella’s utterance as the main Character in Cinderella film to teaching speaking. en_US
