dc.description.abstract This research is aimed to find out the errors made by the students of X TKJ1 and 2 SMK YAPEK Gombong in using Simple Present Tense in Descriptive Texts. This research is to classify the types of error made by students. The researcher takes some steps To find out the data about the student's errors. the researcher uses the following steps: 1). Identifying the student’s answer sheet. 2). giving a code in the student’s answer sheet. 3). classifying the types of errors of each sentence in the student’s answer sheet. 4).counting the total of errors in the student’s answer sheet. 5). discussing the data. finally, making conclusion.The result of the research is there are 4 types of error, there are omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. omission 26 with (48,15%), 21 Addition (38,89%) 13 misinformation (24,07%) and 14 misordering (25,93%), The percentage dominant of error is ommission 26 (48,15%). According to the analysis of the student answer sheet, the dominant error made by student because the students are still confused to distinguish between singuler and plural, nominal and verbal. en_US
