dc.description.abstract This research aims to find out the effectiveness of Using Think-Talk-Write (TTW) in Teaching Writing Narrative Text and to describe the students’ writing narrative text after being taught by using Think-Talk-Write. This research is an experimental research. The population of this research is the eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Karanganyar in the academic year 2016/2017. The sample of this research consists of 31 students of control group and 31 students of experimental group. The result of this research found that the use of Think-Talk-Write was effective in teaching writing narrative text. In this research shown that there was significant difference between teaching writing narrative text using Think-Talk-Write and without strategy. It was found that the result of t-value was 4.651. Based on the 0.05 significant, the value of t-table was 2.000, the computation showed that t-value was higher than t-table, which was 4.651> 2.000 and Ha was accepted. The mean score of experimental group was 68.06 and the mean score of control group was 62.97. The researcher concludes that the use of Think-Talk-Write is effective in teaching writing narrative text at the eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Karanganyar in the academic year 2016/2017. en_US
