Abstract:
This research is a descriptive study about teaching method in Beyond The
Blackboard movie. The objectives of the study are to describe the teaching
method that used by Ms Stacey Bess and to describe the implementation of this
research to teach vocabulary of Junior High School.
The result of the study are: There are eight types of teaching method in
four scenes which used by Ms. Stacey Bess that found in Beyond The Blackboard
movie. It consist of speech method in scene 1 and 4, discussion method in scene 1,
question-answer method in scene 2, simulation method in scene 2, and
demonstration method in scene 2, 3, and 4. A resource is the mostly applying
method found in Beyond The Blackboard movie is demonstration method. The
results of the research can be applied to teach vocabulary of junior high school.
This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The object of this
research is Beyond The Blackboard movie and it is supported by using many
sources. In collecting the data, the researcher searched and read the synopsis of
“Beyond The Blackboard” movie, determined the main sources and English
subtitle of the movie, watched movie carefully, found the scenes, utterance or
subtitle of the movie, collected of teaching method from the scenes, utterance or
subtitles of the movie, collected of teaching method from the scenes, utterance or
subtitle of the movie, classified the data found, and categorised the classification
into the data sheet.
