The Analysis of Maxim in Princess Diariees2: Royal Engagement Movie and its Application in Teaching Speaking at the Second Grade of Senior High School

Abstract

The research focuses on the analysis of maxim in the Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement movie and its application in teaching speaking. This research is aimed to focus the study, so that this reseach can make a deeper and better understanding in pragmatic maxim found in Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement movie and application in teaching speaking. In this research, the researcher uses Descriptive Qualitative to describe maxim in the Pincess Diaries 2: Royal Engagementmovie.Thisreseach was conducted by observing the authentic document of the Princesss Diaries 2: Royal Engagement movie. In this research, the researcher gives some codes in the data to make the data to make analysis of each datum easier. In this reseach the researcher find 24 data obeyed of maxims the categories of maxim are finding in the research maxim Quantity have 33.3%, maxim Quality have 29,2% , maxim of Relation have 20.8 %, and last maxim of Manner have 16.4 % . The totally maxim finds in Princess 2: Royal Engagement movie is 24 data. This researcher hopefully can make a motivation to the teachers in teaching speaking has many method to deliver the material.
