Abstract:
This research is aimed (1) to describe the criteria of basic materials used in
process of production in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur (2) to describe the
procedure of ordering, the ordering cost of basic material in CV. Yuasa Food
Berkah Makmur (3) to describe the inventory procedure, the inventory cost of
basic material in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur (4) to describe the storage
procedure, the storage cost of basic material in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur
(5) to describe the consumption procedure, amount of basic material consumption
in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur (6) to describe the difference between Total
Inventory Cost by using Economic Order Quantity and Total Inventory Cost by
using conventional method from the factory.
Population of this research was all financial data covering basic material
consumption in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur in recent two years. It was
started from 2014 to 2015. Data collecting technique of this research used
documentation, observation and interview. Data analysis method which is applied
in this research was Economic Order Quantity, Safety Stock, Reorder Point and
significance test (t- test).
The result of this research shows that total of inventory cost by using
Economic Order Quantity method is less than total of inventory cost by using
conventional method from the factory. By using EOQ method, the factory was
able to get cost saving Rp. 30.385.459,41 in recent two years (2014-2015). It also
can be seen based on t-test, that t-calculate > t-tabel. It means that EOQ method is
feasible to apply in CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur.
