dc.description.abstract This is a descriptive analysis. This thesis explains about the usage of auxiliary on first grade of SMK Muhammadiyah Kebumen. The writer is interested in conducting this research because it’s considered that the usage of auxiliary are general problem which happens on the learners while constructing sentences, though it has been taught at the first grade of SMK. They are still confused in making sentences using auxiliary. The aims of this research are (1) to find out the mistakes that makes by the first grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Kebumen in the academic year 2013/2014. (2) to get the solution of those mistakes, (3) to know how students’ mastery level. In collecting data, the writer are preparing the research instrument, giving the question to the students, collecting the students’ worksheet, while in analyzing the data, the writer is making the percentage of correct and wrong answer for auxiliary. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Kebumen in May 2014. The samples of this research are 66 students which have choosen using the saturated sampling. The writer took four classes, X Multi Media (MM), X Busana Butik (BB), X Administrasi Perkantoran(AP), X Akutansi (AK) as the subject of the research. The result shows that the students can’t different between plural and singular in auxiliary be and verbs and to get the solution the students should give attention in meaning of the sentence. The score of students mastery level of auxiliary do is 64.65, it categorized as fair. The mean score of students mastery level of auxiliary be is 59.95, it categorized as fair. The mean score of students mastery level of auxiliary modal is 68.87, it categorized as fair. en_US
