A NOMINAL FORM ANALYSIS USED IN THE AL BAQARAH-ENGLISH TRANSLATION AL QUR’AN AND ITS APPLICATION IN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

English is an international language. In English, There are components of languages that are interrelated, such as: phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantic. Among those components, in morphology we know about word formation in morphology. In linguistic, we need to master some aspects such as morphology, which support to have a good English language skill. The objective of the study is to analyze the nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah English translation Al Qur’an. Later, the result can help the students to improve their English language abilities. The writer takes the data from English Translation of Al Qur’an. The writer took qualitative research method in the way analyzing the data. Based on the research finding and discussion, the writer draws conclusion those are first, there are 219 nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah-English Translation Al Qur’an. There are 48,8% simple noun, 0,9% compounds noun, and 50,2 % phrasal noun. Second, The example of nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah: Christians, parents, men, water, mankind, the All-Knower, the buyers. Based on the result of data correction, it can be concluded that the most dominant nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah-English Translation Al Qur’an is phrasal noun.By knowing kinds of nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah-English Translation Al Quran, it can give information to the reader about nominal forms used in the Al Baqarah-English Translation Al Quran
