dc.description.abstract This study is about analyzing students’ errors occur in writing descriptive texts. The classification of errors is based in Keshavarz. This aim of this study is to find out types of errors, and dominant errors of writing grammar in descriptive text made by the Eighth Grad Students’ Mts Ma’arif Kepil in the academic Year of 2015/2016. This study uses descriptive qualitative as its research design because the researcher would like to describe what errors made by students in writing descriptive text. The researcher uses test student make paragraph descriptive to collect the data. The result of the research shows that there are four types of errors occurred in this research. The most common errors is missformation (89 errors or 45%). The second place goes to omission (59 errors or 30%). Addition is on third with 42 errors (21%). The last one is misordering (9 errors or 5%). The researcher hopes that this thesis will be useful for the students, the teachers and the other researchers. en_US
