dc.description.abstract This thesis focuses on an analysis on the fallacy. The subject of this research is Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. In this thesis the researcher uses internet to support this research. This research aims describing the types of fallacy by the movie script in the Star Wars; The Force Awakens movie. Fallacies may be creating unintentionally, or they may be creating intentionally in order to deceive other people. Some fallacies of these sorts, but most are fallacies that involve kinds of errors make while arguing informally in natural language. This study uses descriptive qualitative because the researcher would like to describe about the types of fallacy find in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. In this research, the researcher takes the data from script from Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. The researcher uses fallacy to collect the data. After analyzing the data, the researcher fined that there are 40 fallacies occurred during the show. From 40 data which are taken by the researcher, 5 (12,5%) data belongs to appeal to ignorance,3 (7,5%) data belongs to appeal to authority, 2 (5%) data belongs to appeal to popular opinion, 3 (7,5%) data belongs to association fallacy, 2 (5%) data belongs to attacking the person, 3 (7,5%) data belongs to begging the question,4 (10%) data belongs to circular argument,4 (10%) relationship implies causation fallacy, 3 (7,5%) data belongs to false dilemma/dichotomy,6 (15%) data belongs to illogical conclusion,2 (5%) data belongs to slippery slope and 1 (2,5%) data belongs to syllogism fallacy from the total of fallacy. It is suggest for the teacher to give the student more knowledge about fallacy to enrich their ability in communication. The researcher hopes this thesis can make deep understanding in pragmatic especially the fallacy. en_US
