dc.description.abstract English as an international language, so it is a very important need to master for making the communication each other to be easier. In communicating, speaking is the important skill to master it. When talking about speaking, pronunciation is the one component which must to be learnt. The students feel hard in producing the word when speaking. The problems on this research are to know (1) to know the pronunciation mastery at the eleventh grade of the Batik Perbaik students; (2) to describe the influence of pronunciation mastery to the students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade of the Batik Perbaik Vocational High School of Purworejo in the academic year 2013/2014. The respondents were students TKJ I of the eleventh grade of the Batik Perbaik Vocational High School of Purworejo in the academic year 2013/2014. The total of respondents was 30 students by applying simple random sampling. The data about student’s pronunciation were obtained by using test, and the data about the score of student’s speaking were obtained by using documentation. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were calculated using SPSS statistics version 16.0. Moreover, the correlation analysis between score of students’ pronunciation and score of student’s speaking were also using SPSS statistics version 16.0. The main results of this research are (1) the students get pronunciation mastery and most students’ error is on the diphthong. It has been proved from the analysis that the students took the error diphthong is 58.53%, the weak and strong form is 42.67%, the error consonant is 36% and the error is vowel 34.13%. The students are still stranger with the diphthongs difficult how to string up many vowels in one syllable; (2) there is no significance correlation between pronunciation mastery on the students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade of the Batik Perbaik Vocational High School of Purworejo in the academic year 2013/2014. It is based on rvalue (0.262) is lower than rtable (0.349) with the total sample (N) = 30 and the degree of freedom (df) = 5%. So, the hypothesis (Ha) was rejected, there is no significant correlation between pronunciation mastery on the students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade of the Batik Perbaik Vocational High School of Purworejo in the academic year 2013/2014. en_US
