Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to find out whether positive and significant
correlation between teachers’ questioning and students’ achievement in grammar
of tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1 Ambal Kebumen in the Academic Year of
2015/2016.
This research belonged to correlation study. The respondents were 36
students in tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Ambal Kebumen in the
academic year of 2015/2016. They were taken by questionnaire and test. The
questionnaire was used to know the result of teachers’ questioning, the test was
used to know the result of students’ achievement. This method of research is
quantitative research.
Based on the computation, the researcher found three things. First,
teachers questioning at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Ambal
Kebumen in The Academic Year of 2015/2016 is very good category, shown by
the mean (94.8). Second, students’ achievement of tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1
Ambal Kebumen in The Academic Year of 2015/2016 is good category, shown by
the mean (75.5). Third, there is positive and significant correlation between
teachers’ questioning and students’ achievement in grammar of tenth grade
students of SMK Negeri 1 Ambal Kebumen in the academic year of 2015/2016
was (0.518) and is categorized as medium correlation.
