dc.description.abstract The aim of this study is to know the students’ writing skill, to find out the significant and influence of learning style toward their writing skill, and to know the dominant of learning style gives influence toward their writing skill. The sample in the study is 40 respondents from 135 students of seventh grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen in the academic year of 2015/2016 by using purposive sampling technique. This study basically uses characteristics of learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and theory of writing. The method that is used in this study is giving questionaire model likert scale from Visuals’ variable, Auditorials’ variable and Kinesthetics’ variable and score of writing skill from test. Technique of analyzing data is using regression analysis technique. The research finding shows that (1) there is positive and significant of Visuals’ learning style toward writing skill at the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen which Fobtained = 21.25 and the contribution is 25%; (2) there is positive and significant of Auditorials’ learning style toward writing skill at the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen which Fobtained = 200.95 and the contribution is 16%; (3) there is positive and significant of Kinethetics’ learning style toward writing skill at the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen which Fobtained = 20.30 and the contribution is 82.9 %; (4) there is positive and significant of Learning style (Visual, Auditorial, and Kinethetic) toward writing skill at the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen which Fobtained = 3.37 and the contribution are 32.5%. The conclusion is Students’ learning styles gives positif and significant influences toward students’ writing skills at the seventh grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kebumen in the academic year of 2015/2016. en_US
