dc.description.abstract Language is the basis of humanity, especially in the communication need. We use language to achieve our purposes and goals in society. English the most important language to learn because it is the common language is international communication. Because of this importance, some teachers and School try to develop their quality of teaching learning activity. Based on this, it is necessary for the researcher to enhance the quality of the English learning process by applying the whole Brain Teaching as a method. The objective of the study are to describe the problem of implementation and to describe the Students response of Whole Brain Teaching conducted as an effort to increase the students’ Involvement in the English Learning process of the eighth grade students’ of SMP PMB 1 Pituruh in the academic year 2013/2014. The type of this research is classroom observation research. Subject of the Study in this thesis is English teacher and the students especially VIII B students of SMP PMB 1 Pituruh. The class has 18male and 17 female. The research subjects consist of the English teacher of class VIII B and the students. The result of the research found that the process of Whole Brain Teaching method in the SMP PMB 1 Pituruh, especially in the class VIII B is successful implemented by the teacher followed each procedure in the whole brain teaching well. The teacher had done her best to implement the method to increase the students’ involvement in the English learning process. The researcher conclude thatthere are some problem find out in the implementation of WBT method in English teaching,there are the duration of time, the difficulty in translating their text into Indonesia, and the difficulty to make sentence for their practice. The students confused to translate their prediction into English because they poor of vocabulary. The students response about this method they areseemed happy, enjoyed, and enthusiastic with the new learning method and they admit that the lesson made their learning English easier. They said that the Whole Brain Teaching improves their motivation to study and the students can show their best performance in the class. en_US
