dc.description.abstract |
The objectives of the researcher to find out whether gallery walk technique effective for teaching vocabulary in MTs Khaudlul’ulum Penajung Bojongsari, Alian Kebumen in the school year 2013/2014.
The type of this research was an experimental research. The subject of the study was 76 students of the eighth grade of MTs Khaudlul’ulum Penajung Bojongsari, Alian Kebumen, which was chosen randomly. The researcher took two groups of the students as the sample using cluster random sampling, one as the experimental group and another one as the control group. The data were collected by using test of multiple choices. The data were analyzed by t-test.
The result of the study showed that the means of experimental group is 66.18 and it is good category. The means score of the students who were taught vocabulary by using Gallery Walk Technique was 66.18. The mean of the students who were taught vocabulary without Gallery Walk Technique is 60.92. And the t-test value is 3.59. It is higher than the t-table (3.59>2.00). It means that the method used by the researcher is effective in increasing vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of MTs Khaudlul’ulum Penajung Bojongsari, Alian, Kebumen. |
