dc.description.abstract The aim of this research is to know the level of students‟ pronunciation ability at the seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Kalibawang Wonosobo in the academic year 2012/2013. besides, the other aim of this research is to find out wether E-Dic named Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary is effective or not in improving students‟ pronunciation ability at the seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Kalibawang Wonosobo. This research is classified as an experimental research. Moreover, this research is conducted by using quantitative technique in processing the data and getting the result. Therefore, the type of this research is experimental quantitative research. In this research, the researcher took 60 students which are divided into control (VII B, 30 students) and experimental group (VII A, 30 students) at the seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Kalibawang Wonosobo in Academic year 2012/2013 as the sample. The researcher conducted pre-test and post-test. The researcher use E-Dic Named Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary as a media to teach pronunciation. Statistically, the researcher analyzed the data by using t-test. The result of this research shows that E-Dic Named Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary is effective to improve students‟ pronunciation ability for the seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Kalibawang Wonosobo in Academic year 2012/2013, since it was found that the result of t-value is 2.690 based on 0.05 significance level , and the value of t-invers is 2.001. Therefore, the computation shows that t-value is higher than t-invers that is 2.690>2.001. en_US
