The objectives of the study are to identify the students speaking skill of
TKR class, to know students speaking skill of Multimedia class and to find out
whether or not there is a positive and significant difference of speaking skill
between TKR and Multimedia class at the tenth grade students of SMK N 6
Purworejo in the academic year of 2015/2016.
This research is presented in quantitative method. In collecting data, the
writer did some steps. They are preparing the research instrument, giving the test
to the students, and analyzing the result of the students’ score. This research was
carried out on 1stJuly 2016 and 4thJuly 2016. The research was conducted at SMK
N 6 of Purworejo. To analyze the result of test, the writer uses descriptive
analysis. After analyzing the data, the writer gets the result of test the differences
study of English speaking skill between TKR and Multimedia class at the Tenth
Grade Students of SMK N 6 Purworejo.
The researcher is able to conclude that the percentage total score on Tenth
grade students of SMK N 6 Purworejo. The mean score of TKR Class is 72 in the
interval score 66-79 and it is categorized good. Meanwhile, the mean of
Multimedia Class is 84.75, in the interval score 80-100 and it is categorized
excellent. The median score of TKR Class is 72 and the median score of
Multimedia Class is 84. The result of the computation of t-value is 11.028. Based
on the value in t-table for N1 = 32 and N2 = 32 and the value of t-table is 11.028.
The computation shows that the t-value is higher than t-table that is
11.028>2.042.It means that there is a significant difference between TKR and
Multimedia class. |
