Abstract:
The aim of this study is to to find out the types of errors of students’
recount text at the eleventh grade students of SMA N 11 Purworejo in the
academic year of 2015/2016.
This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The researcher has chosen
the eleventh year students of SMA N 11 Purworejo in the academic year 2015/
2016 and the subject are 31 students. In this study the researcher collected the
data and the researcher is as its instrument. The researcher is the planner, the
data collector, the data analyzer, and the data reporter of the research. After
collecting the data, the researcher took procedures of data analysis. They are:
categorizing, classifying, analyzing, discussing and reporting.
The researcher presents the result of the research. The type of error on
recount text writing at eleventh grade students of SMA N 11 in the
Academic Year 2015/2016 are: 78 misformations (48,75%), 35 additions
(21,87 %) , 35 omissions (21,87 %), and misorderings (7, 5 %).
