They are 17 students. The instrument of this research is test. There are two kinds
of test. They are test before treatment and test after treatment. Then, the result of it
is analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis.
After the data is analyzed, it results the mean of students’ score before
treatment is 62.94 and the mean of students’ score after treatment is 75.29. Then,
the computation of inferential analysis gets the t-value 4.0307. It is consulted to ttable
with 5% (0.05) significance level with degree of freedom (df) 16. It shows
that t-value is higher than t-table (4.0307>2.120). Therefore, it can be concluded
that storytelling using the character Dora the Explorer is effective to increase
