Abstract:
The objectives of this study wereto describe the teachers’ perceptiveof
teaching learning English using 2013 curriculum, to find out the teaching
components in supporting the successful teaching learning English using 2013
curriculum, and to know the ways of teachers in applying 2013 curriculum in
classes. In this research, the researcher involved the English teachers of SMA N 1
Purworejo in the academic year of 2013/2014 as the research subject. The
researcher took3 English teachers.
In collecting data, the researcher used two methods, there wereobservation
and in depth interview in the English teachers’ perspective in teaching English
using 2013 curriculum. Then, the researcher took observation and conducted
interviews in SMA N 1 Purworejo. The researcher then evaluated the English
teachers’ opinion on the use of 2013 Curriculum.
After analyzing the data, the researcher concluded thatthe English
teachers’ perceptive in2013 Curriculum were nurturing perspective which
teachers do not only teach students using their mind but also using their heart, and
they were also comfortable and enjoyable in teaching English using 2013
curriculum.The teaching’ components in teaching English using 2013 curriculum
were strategies, technique, method, media, and material which support the
successful teaching learning English using 2013 curriculum. Later, the ways of
teachers in teaching English using 2013 curriculum are using scientific approach,
professional teaching, and discussion.
