    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING BINGO GAME TO IMPROVE ENGLISH VOCABULARY TO THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMK PN 2 PURWOREJO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2022/2023

    Bingo game is one of the media to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. This study is about the effective of using bingo game to improve students vocabulary mastery. The objective this study is to find out whether bingo game is effective or not to improve students' vocabulary mastery at the first grade students of SMK PN 2 Purworejo in the academic year of 2022/2023. This research is called an experimental research. The population of this research is the first grade students of SMK PN 2 Purworejo in the academic year of 2022/2023. The number of sample is 64 from the total population 224. To take the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling. This study involves two variables: the use of bingo game (X) and the students' vocabulary mastery (Y) where independent variable (X) influences toward dependent variable (Y). To collect the data, the researcher used a test. The content of the test is about vocabulary mastery. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the t-test polled variance. After analyzing the data, the result of the mean score of the experimental group is higher than the mean score of control group (79.375>67.5). In addition, the result of t-value is 6.43. Based on the 0.05 or (5%) significant level and degree of freedom 62 on the t-table is 1.99. It shows that the t-value is higher than the t- table 6.43>1.99. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted. It means that the use of bingo game is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery of the first grade students of SMK PN 2 Purworejo in the academic year of 2022/2023.
