(ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION PROGRAM TEACHER TRAINING AND EDUCATION FACULTY OF PURWOREJO MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY, 2023-09-11) YOLANDA TASYA TILLANA
The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes before and during Covid-19 at PKBM Mekar Purworejo in academic year 2020/2021 and to find out whether there were differences in student outcomes at PKBM Mekar Purworejo before Covid-19 and during Covid-19. The research design is quantitative with a comparative hypothesis. The population of this study were Paket C students (equivalent to SMA/MA) at PKBM Mekar Purworejo with a total population and sample of 19 students. To get the data, the researcher took the results of the final test that had been done by the students. Techniques for analyzing data are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Both techniques are used to answer statements of problems and hypotheses. The results of this study indicate that the outcomes of student learning before Covid-19 were in the "good" category with a mean value of 74.63, while for student outcomes during Covid-19 they were in the "excellent" category with a mean value of 85.05. The result of calculating the hypothesis test using SPSS with the Mann-Whitney U-test method shows the Assymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is lower than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, the researchers concluded that there was a significant difference between student outcomes before and during Covid-19 at PKBM Mekar Purworejo in the academic year 2020/2021
