| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effectiveness or not in applying the Multimedia Powerpoint Presentation to improve students speaking ability. This study uses quantitative research. The data were collected from August 16, 2024 to November 21, 2024. The population of this study was class XI students of SMA Negeri 5 Purworejo for the 2025/2026 academic year, with a total 250 students. The sample of this research is XI 1 and XI 2, totaling 70 students. This research findings show that the application of Multimedia Powerpoint Presentation is effective to improve students speaking ability. This is evidenced by the mean post-test score of the experimental class which is 79.34. Meanwhile, the mean post-test control class was 60.03. The mean of students in experimental class is higher than control class. The results of the increase is also avidenced by the value of the t-test. The researcher found that t-test show that the t value higher than t table (12.607 > 2.000) and the p value was much smaller than the significance level α (0.751 > 0.05). so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, indicating a significant difference between the post-test results of the experimental and control classes | |
