Abstract
This is a qualitative research.The aim of this research are to analyze and to identify
the compatibility of procedure texts found in the food packages and in the textbook “ THINK
GLOBALLY ACT LOCALLY ” in the ninth grade students of SMPN 14 Purworejo in the
academic year of 2020/2021.
The data source of this research is the procedure texts in the food packages and in the
textbook“ THINK GLOBALLY ACT LOCALLY ”.The technique of analyzing data by
identifying the kind of texts,type of tenses written in the textbook“ THINK GLOBALLY
ACT LOCALLY ”.
The result shows that all of them are compatible.It is using numbering inspite of adverbial
sequence.The procedure text is useable for teaching material of Junior High School students.
